A person seeking asylum, while the asylum procedure is in progress, has the right to stay in the Republic of Serbia, and if necessary, has the right to be accommodated in the Center in accordance with the Asylum Act (hereinafter: the Act). A person can be accommodated in the Center if he has previously been registered, i.e. registered and referred to the Center by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, if a health examination has been performed in accordance with the regulation issued by the minister responsible for health and if the accommodation capacity of the Center allows it. Information on the occupancy of the Center is submitted to the Asylum Office. If the accommodation capacity is full, the Center has no obligation to receive and accommodate the referred person.
