If you have been granted asylum (refuge or subsidiary protection), temporary protection, or you are in the process of asylum, you have the right to free primary and secondary education in the Republic of Serbia. A person who has been granted the right to asylum has the right to higher education under the same conditions as citizens of the Republic of Serbia. In addition, you have the right to residence, an identity document issued in the Republic of Serbia, freedom of movement, as well as the right to work, free choice of employment (type of work and employer) and the right to information and free legal assistance.
