In the last 30 years, the Republic of Serbia has provided refuge for more than 600,000 refugees and war-affected persons from the territory of the former republics of the SFRY, as well as for more than 200,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija, who make up almost more than 10% of the population.
