These Principles address the specific needs of displaced persons around the world. They identify the rights and guarantees relevant to the protection of persons from violence of displacement, protection and assistance provided to them during the duration of displacement as and during return and reintegration. In this document, displaced persons are referred to as individuals or groups individuals who are forced to flee or leave their homes or place of residence, due to (or to prevent the consequences of) an armed conflict, situation widespread violence, violations of human rights, natural or natural disasters caused by human hands, which did not exceed the internationally recognized level state border.
